my current makeup drawers in my dressing table |
There is one thing that no one should come inbetween and that is me and makeup aka my bae. Since starting my job in November i finally got paid a very generous amount and couldnt resist spending it all on new makeup. In this haul is a mixture of both high street and higher end department store makeup, hope you all enjoy!
Mac
I have recieved /bought four things recently at mac, these were two eyeshadows and two lipsticks. The two lipsticks were both gifts off my friend and sister and they are absolutley to die for the first shade has been my all time favourite for a good year now and it ran out so my sister kindly bought me a new one. This shade is called 'Rebel', this lipstick is a sheer deep purple which can make any makeup look so much more dramatic and can really make a basic outfit. I love this lipstick so much as it really suits my skin tone and looks really good for beign used by a pale person, i literally use this lipstick every party and i will inserts some pictures of me wearing it and it swatched on my hand. This lipstick is perfect for this time of year.

When im not obsessing over lipsticks im crying over dozens of shades of eyeshadows, so when i was in the local mac stand i couldnt resist but to buy two pans and a quad for them to store them and to buy more in the near future. The two shades i bought were 'shroom' and 'plum dressing', these eye shadows were very different in colour contrast. Shroom is a beautiful champagne shade i bought this for my more natural looks when im back at sixth form and more of an everyday look. The eyeshadows has suttle shimmers in it so you can still see it and its not completely discreet, i can see this being used quite frequently. Plum dressing is dark plum (obvious i know) purple shade and i think this fits perfect with the lipstick Rebel and this would give a glamourous evening look matched with an all black outfit.
Urban Decay
I only purchsed two things from the urban decay stand in the local debenhams as the illumator i longed for had sold out in both shades (moment of silence for me please). However i made up for that buy purchasing both the naked basics palette and the all night setting spray. I decided to purchase the basics palette before going for the number two palette, as this was cheaper and i decided to invest in some more matte shades as i have already got a selection of sleek, metallic eyeshadows. I love this palette as the colours are very simplistic and are beuatiful to work with for natural looks as well as the darker shades for the dramatic evening look. The next investment from urban decay was the all nighter lasting setting spray, i have seena nd used this frequently in the past due to all my friends obsession with it, and when i bought it i was so happy to have my own bottle at last! This is the most amazing thing in the makeup world it not only does wionders to your makeup it smells amazing and it definitley does everything it states. You get a large amount for the price you pay and yes £20 does seem extortionate for a bottle of spray however one bottle will make last forever and it is amazing for parties when you need the long wear.
Hope this helped you in making some important makeup choices sorry this has been cut short due some of th makeup i have ordered has not arrived yet so i shall be doing a part two to this blog post!
